HTA and EBM: different names, a similar concept
Papíková, Vendula
The terms "Health Technology Assessment" and "Evidence-Based Medicine" are increasingly mentioned in various contexts recently. Projects in this area in terms of content and methodology often overlap, other time diverge. This work deals with the analysis of the motivation and objectives of processes, which stand in the background of the above mentioned concepts. In deeper analysis of their historical development and present interpretation one can trace not only common elements, but also the mutual complementarity.
Implementation of medical guidelines in an electronic form
Zvolský, Miroslav
Medical guidelines are an important tool for clinical decision-making not only for physicians, but also on a wider scale tool for increasing the efficiency of medical care. Currently, there are tools for creating electronic forms of medical guidelines and their use in clinical practice but their expansion is hampered by the absence of a concept for their collective use and by limited use of electronic health record.
